In 2024, the active members of the 36th Order proudly voted to establish a lasting philanthropic partnership with the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center. Supporting a cause that uplifts and empowers women in the local community was a priority for the group, and the critical mission of the SAFE Center made it the perfect choice.
What is the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center?
The Tuscaloosa SAFE Center is a 24/7 sexual assault crisis center dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care to survivors of sexual assault. Their comprehensive services include forensic examinations, follow-up care, medical advocacy, counseling, support groups, and educational outreach. Serving individuals aged 14 and older across a nine-county region in West Alabama, the SAFE Center offers all services free of charge, ensuring that every survivor has access to the support they need to begin their healing journey.
2024 Philanthropic Events
In the fall of 2024, the active members of the 36th Order joined forces with the Jasons Senior Men's Honorary to host a successful cup sale benefiting the Tuscaloosa SAFE Center. This collaborative effort brought together students, alumni, and community members, raising over $2,100 to support the SAFE Center’s critical mission.
